Liberty House

As one of the most lauded eateries on the Hudson, Liberty House offers a fine selection of farm-to-table dishes crafted by Executive Chef Ken Trickilo. Here, you can take in uninterrupted views of the Manhattan skyline on their outdoor balcony. The drinks are pretty fantastic, too!

Currently, Liberty House is open for outdoor dining with special social distancing measures in place. Masks are required for all employees and diners.

Laico’s

Opened by the Laico family in 1972, this namesake restaurant serves up authentic Italian dishes to the Jersey City community—and a pandemic won’t stop them from sharing some delicious flavors! Homemade dressing, garlic bread, cocktails, and daily specials are just a few reasons why JC locals keep coming here again and again.

As of early September, Laico’s offers both outdoor dining and takeout. Hours vary by day, so be sure to check their website for more info.

Surf City

Craving some Floridian-inspired fare? Look no further than Surf City, a spacious bar and grill that showcases some of the best cuisine in town. You’ll find plenty of patrons savoring a handcrafted cocktail or twin lobster rolls while taking in panoramas of Manhattan. Surf City also has plenty of places for you to lounge outdoors—it’ll truly feel like you’ve escaped to Key West!

Surf City reopened its doors for the summer season in early June, and they’re currently offering outdoor dining.

Liberty Park Diner

There’s nothing quite like a New Jersey diner—and if you live in Port Liberte, you’ve probably visited Liberty Park Diner more than a few times. This low-key staple serves all of the traditional diner fare you know and love, including triple-decker club sandwiches and disco fries.

Although Liberty Park Diner may not be open for dine-in quite yet, you can still pick up some of their famous bites from DoorDash.

Please note: Although Governor Murphy has allowed restaurants to reopen for indoor dining at 25% capacity starting September 4th, many restaurants may still only allow takeout or outdoor dining. Please call ahead for the most up-to-date information.
