Here are Some Big Tips for Getting Your Port Liberte Condo Ready to Sell ASAP

In a market as competitive as Port Liberte, it’s important to prepare your home to sell in the most efficient way possible. That’s why I want to share with you these four big tips for selling your Port Liberte condo.

There are no second chances to make a good first impression, so before you can schedule any tours, you have to get your home into tip-top shape. Here’s how:

Declutter Your Life

Have you seen the latest Netflix hit, Tidying Up with Marie Kondo? If so, you’ve probably already learned some tips and tricks for getting rid of excess clutter in your life. If you haven’t, here’s what to focus on:

Get Rid of the Excess

Sort through all of your belongings and try to eliminate everything you don’t need. Do this by category, room, or any other way that makes sense to you.

Consider starting up an eBay or Poshmark account, joining a neighborhood sharing group, or donating the extra items to charity.  Keep in mind that I take donations to homeless shelters and social services agencies every Wednesday morning. Send me with a full SUV load!

The KonMari Method

In her show, Tidying Up, Marie Kondo offers this wise piece of advice for decluttering: go through your home and pick up different items. Does the item in your hands “spark joy?” Does it make you think of fond memories, or make you excited about using it? If so, keep it! If not, get rid of it.

Clean Like Your Home Sale Depends On It (Because it Does)

Time for the fun part (just kidding): cleaning EVERYTHING within an inch of its life. Don’t forget those windows inside and out! Even your balcony or patio deserves to look its best. This, and decluttering, are the two most important parts of getting your home ready to sell.

Deep clean your entire home. Leave no stone unturned! If you can swing it, consider hiring a professional cleaning service. Or, you could gather up your friends and promise them some tasty treats and nice glass of a fine wine from the Port Liberte Wine and Deli for just a few hours of their help.

Whatever you do, make sure every part of your home is thoroughly decluttered, cleaned, and organized. Buyers respond well to homes that are in great condition and sparkle.

Do Little Repairs and Home Improvement Projects

You don’t have to break the bank to add some value to your home! In fact, there are a number of small things you can do to make your home really pop and make buyers fall in love.

Begin by fixing anything in need of repairs. This includes leaky faucets and running toilets, replacing the caulk in your tub or shower, fixing torn window screens, and replacing burnt-out lightbulbs.

You should also consider updating the paint job in your home with a trendy, but neutral, color. Another small home improvement project is switching out your traditional light switches for dimmers!

Buyers will appreciate these small details, as they contribute to the overall atmosphere of your home.
