5th Annual Sotheby’s International Realty Food Drive

The luxury real estate association I work with, Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty, is hosting their 5th Annual Food Drive. Through a partner ship with Move For Hunger, a nonprofit, the food drive aims to make a positive impact on the lives of New Jersey citizens.

This food drive is a local favorite among Sotheby’s International Realty agents. Nothing feels better than knowing your actions are having a positive impact on the community. It is truly heartwarming to see so many people come together and donate food items to those in need.

All collected food will be donated to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey and the Center for Food Action.

Suggested Items

cans of foodNon-perishable food items are needed for the food drive. These include canned beans, boxed meals, peanut butter, canned fruits & vegetables, rice, pasta, sauce, fruit juice, and much more. For a detailed list of what kind of food is needed, check out this blog.

Those who wish to donate can bring non-perishable food items to any of the Sotheby’s International Realty offices listed below. Food items collected at Sotheby offices will be picked up by Ridgewood Moving Services and brought to the Center for Food Action in Ridgewood.

Two additional moving companies, All Seasons Movers, Inc. and Main Street Movers, will bring donations to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey in Hillside.

Make a Difference in Your Community

The food insecurity rate in New Jersey is at 13%, with more than 1 million people being food insecure. Food insecurity refers to a state of being wherein one does not have reliable access to nutritious food.

Prominent Property Sotheby’s International Realty is hoping to alleviate the food insecurity of New Jersey’s citizens. Over the last four years, the food drives have provided more than 50,000 meals to people in need.
